Little Story
Looking way back, EAVES was a project from our university assignment, a group of basement designers come together, simply having fun doing designs & experimenting around. Sometimes it’s fun reminiscing the good old days, the timeline below is a collections of important event throughout our establishment. It was indeed a bumpy yet exciting journey.
Eaves was first created to be a team name for a project used by Kingsley(founder) in his university. The first ever sketched logo was made randomly as Kingsley simply grab the word "eaves" from "eavesdrop". Kingsley managed to grab a few student friends to join the club & start making random design for various occasion, competitions, jobs & university events.
Kingsley joined a product design competitions under the named “Eaves” with innovative reuseable paper vase & won the competition against various product designs, while other contestants focus solely on the mechanism of their product, Kingsley tackle the competition by implying visual design & product's advertising on top on the mechanism, making the product ready-to-market, while other are still at experiment state. This competition serve as an eye opener for Kingsley, understanding that people are easily influenced by visuals & propaganda instead of functions.
The era of mobile apps development, Eaves planned to get in queue & started to graph the systems, functions, designs, user experiences & stuffs. Project “JELLYfis”, an event based social platform, is named after the sea creature, because Kingsley think that jellyfish’s bites is ‘stunning’ & they lives in a group, prompted social interaction between them.
As exciting as it sound, project “JELLYfis” failed to initaite, due to budgets, expertise, partnership & other various reason.

Eaves is growing in size, a 4 male students team was establish. All good time will come to an end as the graduation are around the corner, while everyone are concerned about their future, Kingsley decided to try commercialize design club into a small design studio using the same name, EAVES while working on their finals. They barely survived, feeding on few freelance jobs.
By September, Eaves has one more new members, Griselle. Griselle is Kingsley Uni mate & had been working together since the start of their 2nd year in the University group assignments. Kingsley pursued her into the group as he saw great potentials in her to carry the team as one of the core member.

As time goes, Eaves’ clients list has grown, doing both freelance & uni works took a hard kick to our mental state, collasping the team morale. Different designers have different working paces/methods, but as EAVES went commercialized, speed become the main factor. Unavoidably, we have had a few arguements & fights among the members
As we graduated, our studio in PJ are also at the end of it’s contract, so EAVES moved our operation to Subang Jaya. To start anew in the new environment, in hope to rejuvenate the team's morale.

We all agreed upon dividing wages based on the a mount of works done personally, but this spure a dissastifaction among the members. So, Kingsley suggest those members to go for part-time jobs but still remain active in EAVES as a temporary solution...
As time went on, one of our core member decided to leave EAVES due to family circumstances. Breaking the team morale, the feeling of unable to hold the team together hits Kingsley as he gradually realise he need to stop spoon feeding the members & let the reality do it's job.

As EAVES is getting better financially, various internal problems started to rise. While Kingsley & Griselle are busy with the clients' works, others seems to lost their interest in the company. After months of silences, Griselle took the initiative to question their interest & loyalty. The members took the question the hard way & started to retalliate with munity, they sabotage the company by taking down the website; sending fake emails to all our clients & etc, before leaving the company.
During the conflict, Kingsley was badly ill, he is diagnosed with Dengue, Thalassemias & Tuberculosis. The doctor report Kingsley had overworked his body to the limit. Griselle took the baton & manage the company by herself while waiting for Kingsley to recover. Kingsley still remain active in the office works, while Griselle work on the hard labor.

Although the remaining work force of EAVES are at the lowest, raw experiences & excellence craftmanship bring EAVES further as both Kingsley & Griselle paved their way up the food chain. At times, EAVES never reject any jobs, regardless of the pay, good or bad, they took it all in. Building up a huge portfolios within a years, triple up the numbers of client list since. Expanding the fluidity of our skill set, EAVES manage to growth & learn at the same times, taking in knowledges, skill sets, experiencing, servicing abilities, & many more.

EAVES is getting more & more job from renowed brands/companies, we even manage to secure job internationally. EAVES manage build a good rapport within the industry, doing works across different fields & industries, range from cosmetic to skin care; fast selling products to luxury goods; electronics to automotives; restaurants to cafes; applications to digitals; offline to online business; direct sales to consultancy; gorvenments to privates & many many more.
EAVES are known for our ability to turn thing around even at a dire situation, not only getting thing done, we even manage to produce outcome that are impressive. EAVES understand that thing sometimes go south & beyond repairs, but no situation is too dire for both Kingsley & Griselle, giving up is simple mot the option; breaking down the problems & fixed them one by one, it's as simple as that.

Both Kingsley & Griselle are not just upholding the role of a designer, they are also serve as consultant (creative/managerial) for serveral renowned brands & both of them do owned other sucessful businesses ranging from fashion accessories, apparel, cosmetic & restaurant ultilising their experiences & skill obtain throughout the years.
Doing so, EAVES are bringing design a step closer to business approach, understanding what a company needs, how budgeting works, how consumer behaves, the in & out of marketing and so on.
